Next Weekend - Garage Sale Day!

Just a reminder...

Saturday, October 15th from 7am-2pm

How does it work?  You will host your own sale at your house, but join with neighbors to attract attention and get good traffic for the day. The FMNA will place an ad in the Dallas Morning News and also on Craig's List.  We'll also put out a few general "Garage Sale" signs along Abrams and Royal, and you can add your own within the neighborhood if you wish.  With Market in the Meadow at the Junior High on Abrams happening the same day, we anticipate lots of traffic and lots of sales!

REMEMBER – To avoid citations, please follow city guidelines (Chapter 51A, Part II of the Dallas Development Code: www.dallascityhall.com/code_compliance/Common_Code_Violations.html#GarageSales) and be considerate of your neighbors (no extended sales or creating parking hazards, appropriately dispose of leftover items, etc.).

So far we have four homes participating! I will email a list of anticipated garage sales to everyone who is having a sale so we can direct our shoppers to other sales in the neighborhood. This has worked well in the past as we knew beforehand who had baby clothes, furniture, garden tools, etc.
