Crime Watch

FMNA Crime Watch

In the early 90's our neighborhood began experiencing a growing crime problem.  A group of residents spear-headed what is now the Crime Watch Program. As a result of their efforts, off-duty Dallas police officers from the Northeast Substation in our area and a Dallas police squad car patrol the Forest Meadows neighborhood.  Forest Meadows has teamed up with the neighboring community of Town Creek to strengthen and enhance our Crime Watch Program.  For more information about Crime Watch or to become a member, please contact Myron Knudson at myronknudson@aol.com.

Re:  Increased Patrol Coverage in Lake Highlands Neighborhoods

Councilmember Allen,

I encourage you to support initiatives involving increased patrol coverage in the Forest Meadow 1 & 2 neighborhood area.  As a member of our neighborhood association and crime watch, I am concerned about making this a safe, community oriented neighborhood where we can raise our children.  I feel that the additional patrols in our area will help discourage criminal activity and increase the feeling of security within our neighborhood.  If you have the opportunity to support any move to increasing patrol coverage, we would appreciate the support of the council.

Thank you,
