Congratulations to all the neighborhood kids who are starting school at Skyview Elementary this year! We’re so proud of you and excited for the year ahead.
As you may know, your neighbor Elizabeth Wiley is currently organizing an early childhood PTA for Skyview Elementary called The Hatchlings. While the PTA is still in its infancy, their goal is clear: to strengthen communication and ties between Skyview and Forest Meadows families and to increase attendance among neighborhood children. If you are interested in learning more about the Hatchlings or becoming a PTA board member, you are encouraged to contact Elizabeth at estirling@hotmail.com.
If you have a child who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2013 (next year), you are invited to a play date on Sunday afternoon, September 16th. It will be a great opportunity for you and your child to meet other families in the entering class. Once again, contact Elizabeth for more information at estirling@hotmail.com.
Additionally, you are invited to the Skyview Elementary Fall Tour on Tuesday, October 2nd. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the principal, educators and staff as well as take a look inside classrooms and the school library. Even if school is many years off for your child, please attend and have your questions answered. There will be childcare available in the library.
