Stop for Safety in 2012

As many of you know, we are working toward obtaining a 4-way stop installed at Meadowknoll and Heatherdale (currently a 2-way) to increase safety in our neighborhood. To make this happen, the City of Dallas requires 1 signature from 2/3 of the households within a 900-foot radius of the stop. We started making progress on this at the Fall Social and hope to wrap up the process over the coming months. If you live within the radius (see map below) and would like to sign the petition, the petition will be at all board meetings and upcoming social events. If for some reason those dates/ times do not work for you, please email fmnasocial@gmail.com and other arrangements can be made to obtain your signature. We're still looking for those who took extra sign-up sheets at the Annual Meeting. Please email Kathryn Livesay at fmnasocial@gmail.com if you have a copy. Our goal is to be able to turn in the signatures before summer so that hopefully we will have the additional stops installed before the end of 2012.  Thank you so much for your support!

I'll sign. But I had no idea this initiative was going on. Have you thought about leaving a note or mauling a letter to the applicable people affected? Communication is key here. Good thing I found out about this page from an ex neighbor. I had no idea that this page existed until after I had been living here for 3 years.

Thank you for your interest and your idea of creating a mailing. This blog is fairly new and the intent in having it is to create new ways of communicating. I am so glad its working and that you found us here.
